Types of Certificates
Several different types of certificates exist: digital certificates, knock out certificates, reverse convertibles, discount certificates, capital protected certificates, Call/Put spread certificates (plain or hybrid), bonus certificates, pure indexation certificates and other Structured products. Certificates provide access to a steadily growing number of underlying assets. Currently, there are six major asset classes:
- Domestic and foreign equities
- Baskets of domestic, foreign and themed equities
- National, international and sector indices
- Foreign exchange
- Commodities
- Interest rates
